  • Highway 20/26/Chinden Blvd. has been identified as a priority mobility corridor as part of the agency’s Communities in Motion 2040 Vision Plan, which identifies where population will be settled and how transportation will be affected by growth in 2040.
  • Highway 20/26/Chinden Blvd. is one of the few east-west roadways that stretch from Caldwell to Boise, and it is an important commuter route in the Treasure Valley. Land adjacent to the roadway is being developed and the future is expected to bring mixed-use development that will transform Highway 20/26/Chinden Blvd. from a rural roadway into a busy urban corridor.
  • In August 2014, the Idaho Transportation Department completed the first phase of the Highway 16 extension to Highway 20/26/Chinden Blvd. The extension is designed to connect Highway 44/State Street to Highway 20/26/Chinden Blvd. with the eventual goal of extending the roadway all the way to Interstate 84.
  • The subject property is located 1/2 mile west from the new Highway 16 extension.
